With more people than ever spending time at home, finding ways to relax and reduce stress is important.

Thankfully, it’s also easier than you might think.

If you’re struggling to de-stress throughout your day, let’s go over three quick things you can do at almost any time to find some relaxation on a daily basis.

  1. Be More Mindful

Mindfulness has become a bit of a buzzword in recent years, but it is so much more than that. Mindfulness is the practice of focusing on the present moment, rather than letting worries of the past or future take over.

You can practice mindfulness any time. Think of it as a form of meditation. Take five minutes out of your day to focus on nothing but your breathing and how you feel right then and there. Thoughts will continue to come and go, but don’t hold onto them. You might be surprised at how simply breathing deeply and clearing your mind can get rid of stress quickly.

  1. Spend More Time Outside

There have been multiple studies on the benefits of spending more time outdoors. It’s good for your mind, body, and your stress levels.

Spending time outside not only reduces stress, but it can give you more energy and even boost your productivity and creativity.

Plus, if you’ve been feeling cooped up and isolated for too long, getting outside can help you to feel a bit freer, and not as lonely. If you go out on a sunny day, it can even boost your mood as you soak in the vitamin D from the sun.

  1. Get Active

Exercise has many benefits. It can help you to maintain a certain weight, build strength, and boost your cardiovascular health.

But, it is also a well-known stress reliever that you can do anywhere. You don’t need to run a marathon or spend an hour working out each day. Get active in ways that interest you so you’ll be more willing to stick with a routine.

If you’re worried about your mobility issues or you experience pain while working out, you might want to consider physio before starting a regimen. But, even just going on a daily walk or jog around your neighborhood can make you feel better from the inside out. Even stretching or practicing yoga can help you to get rid of the stress you’re holding onto. Don’t be afraid to try something new. You just may find a new exercise routine you really enjoy.

As you can see, it doesn’t have to take a lot of time or effort to find ways to de-stress each day. Whether you’re in the comfort of your own home or you’re trying to get outside, you don’t have to hang onto all of the stress the world around you is causing. Keep these tips in mind to relax more each day and better your overall health and wellbeing.
